Meet my Christmas Day dress to-be, albeit in some slightly awkward poses with shoes that are one size too big. Anyway, try and ignore the imperfections and this is a beautiful dress and hence why I chose it as one of my favourite items from the Next Lock In last week.
Next invited us into their Oxford Street store armed with a glass of fizz and a handful of tags to place on the items we loved to get an idea of the most popular items from this seasons collection. You can see what the most tagged items were here. I chose this flocked lace dress as one of my favourite pieces, I love the shape and the colours, the vintage styling and the sleeves. I was slightly nervous wearing such a form-fitting dress when I'm still a good couple of sizes away from my goal size, but the pattern and the cleverly cut waist make me feel a tad more confident.
I don't know if I'm the only one who does this, but I like to get quite dressed up for Christmas day. This year, our immediate family of four will be spending Christmas week up in Matlock, Derbyshire in a big house with 20 or so of our extended relations. I think this dress is just right for our big celebrations- not too showy or not too sparkly for a marathon game of Trivial Pursuit and it has enough stretch to allow an extra few mince pies!
What do you wear Christmas day? Are you more of a turkey-in-your-PJs person? Or like me, do you like getting dolled up for dinner?

This is a beautiful dress!!
